CERAMICA

Sixteenth and seventeenth centruy European cabinets of curiousities focused on rigorously arranging and cataloguing specific types of objects, even those they did not fully understand. In Room II five special cases feature some of the most important artifacts in the history of English pottery-making. Revealed in the drawers within are diverse images and objects that link the everyday ceramics on display with significant scientific discoveries, artistic endeavors, and cultural trends of the last five hundred years.
