Bench
Oak from Cicago urban forest
For Mike Jarvi, efficiency informs design. Jarvi sources his wood locally, often from urban harvested timber. After a series of initial large-scale saw cuts to a single log, he employs a dramatic steam-bending process to create one-of-a-kind tables and benches. No additional pieces of wood or metal fasteners are used.

Greenplay has pioneered the concept of freecycling. When consumers have moved, or simply outgrown their objects, the company will take their furniture back, free of charge, and pass it onto people in need. Freecycling is both socially and environmentally sustainable.
