Cardboard and Wood glue

These two chairs won second place in a national design competition, the “Chair Affair.” The competition challenged participants to build a chair from just two materials: corrugated board — the brown product out of which heavy-duty boxes are made — and glue.

Mi and Brown built the chairs by laser-cutting and then gluing pieces of used cardboard together. Donated by a local developer, the material was first used to protect the floors in a building being repainted.
